Please register to post at this forum, besides, I know its a pain to register BUT that is the only way you can post here. We can all make this show the best it can be by bouncing ideas off each other. But, again, you have to register to do that, otherwise you can only read the posts.

Who I am, Karen?

This is a first year show and I am sure you will be wary. I would be. Okay, first I am the Countyfairgrounds, USA or www.countyfairgrounds.net webmaster. For those of you who know we are also IAFE members and attend the convention in Las Vegas every year. I am also a vendor and run a inflatable business out of Bailey in the summer. I have a very very cool slip and slide and of course I am insured. I am a kid's face painter, simply because its fun. I use FDA approved face paints. I have vended at shows in one way or another for well over twenty years. But, here is the biggest part. I have run shows for over 20 years - about 40 to be exact. This is my first downtown Denver show as a promoter. Tucson and Sierra Vista, Arizona is where I ran shows. I ran a huge senior show at the Tucson Convention Center and a Flower and Garden Show (it actually had a lot of flowers and little home stuff). Have a question, ask me.

Award Winning Booth

Do you have what it takes to make an award winning booth? Booths will be judged on following the theme they are attached to. Again, best all over pink design booth, Christmas booth (following the pink theme of course), and best Western themed booth (in the pink themed tradition of course). Because Susan G. Komen is getting part of proceeds and because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the sub theme of the whole show is pink. We are however, more then just another October Christmas Show. Sub prizes may be awarded for the best Thanksgiving booth... if you can figure out how to do one in a pink tradition. There will be other prizes besides cash awards.

Dance Floor

Yes, there will be a dance floor in front of the stage. Questions? How big? Country Western dancing is fun.... we may have a few contests.. more on this to come.

Where shoud I advertise?

Unlike a lot of show promoters I am going to ask you directly where this show should be advertised. There are different ways to advertise the show. They mostly cost a lot of money. So I am going to ask you specifically to put in here where exactly it should be advertised and where exactly you think it will do us the most good. In the past for a lot of my shows I have written down exactly (and given to the vendors) where the show was physically advertised. A lot of you can help with free advertising by posting it online in various places, or calling your local events listing service place in a newspaper or magazine, handing out flyers also. So I am going to ask you again because you are the vendors. Where do you want this show advertised??
